Week of the Young Child!

Happy Math & Music Monday!

I hope your Monday is off to a great start! This week is one of my very favorite week’s of the whole year… and we are celebrating BIG! This week we celebrate CHILDREN because it’s “Week of the Young Child!” I am so excited for all the super fun things we have planned this week…You won’t want to miss it!

It’s going to be a GREAT and Busy Week!

Fun Quote

“Children see magic because they look for it!” – Christopher Moore

I love this quote.  It’s the perfect quote for this week’s blog.  Isn’t this so true when you think about it?  I think this might be one of the reasons I love working with children… They still believe!  I also love working with children because all they really want is our time.  I’m guilty of thinking I need to have a perfect “Pinterest” plan for my time with the girls, when in all reality, they just want to spend intentional time together.

This week we are celebrating  “Week of the Young Child!”

According to NAEYC: “Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored but the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest early childhood education association.  The purpose of this week is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.”

The first very first “Week of the Young Child” was in 1971.  According to NAEYC: Early childhood years (birth through age 8) lay the foundation for children’s success in school and later life.”

The girls and I are so excited to celebrate this week with you! We have a very FUN week planned and we hope you will join us!  NAEYC has picked the following themes for each day:

Monday: “Music Monday”

Tuesday: “Tasty Tuesday”

Wednesday: “Work Together Wednesday”

Thursday: “Artsy Thursday”

Friday: “Family Fun”

We have something extra special planned for each day following these themes.  Ok, so here is what I’m thinking.  Every day this week at 9am CST, I will post a supply list/photo of what will be needed for our project of the day.  Don’t worry, these will be simple items you most likely have around your home.  Then at 1pm CST, we hope you will join us (maybe live) if I am feeling gutsy lol or at least by video on our Facebook and Instagram pages to do the activity of the day!  I hope this works.  We’re at least going to give it a try! We hope you will join in for the fun!

Have you subscribed yet?  Don’t Forget: We’re providing our Math and Music membership/subscription on our website for FREE for the first TWO-Weeks after you sign up.  This allows you to give it a try and see what we’re all about.  If you haven’t already, I really encourage you to go check out the new website and be sure to SUBSCRIBE! Without your support, we can’t do what we do.  So please help us continue to provide quality learning tools for families.

Please feel free to reach out, email or message me with ANY questions or concerns! I am always here and happy to help in anyway!  Thank you again!

Don’t’ worry…we will also still have our other normal activities! Be sure to follow us this week on our Facebook Page and Instagram! You won’t want to miss it. We have a fun NEW Joke on Tuesday for “Tell A Joke Tuesday!” A super fun “Projects with Pais on Wednesday” and a really yummy one on Saturday for “Cooking with K!”  PLUS lots more in between! It’s going to be a BUSY WEEK!
