Happy Math & Music Monday!

I hope everyone’s February is off to a great start! I can’t believe that it’s almost the middle of the month.  Time is sure moving fast.  I feel like I say that a lot lately.  I also feel like whenever I’m talking to my friends, family or even strangers, it seems like we all say, “Wow, time sure is moving fast!”  This got me thinking… What can I do to make sure I’m using my time more wisely.  I can’t slow down time, but I can be more intentional with my time.

Fun Quote

“The way we spend our time defines who we are.” – Jonathan Estrin

I love this quote.  It’s the perfect quote for this week’s blog.  Isn’t it so true?!  I’ve been reminded of this lately, so I thought I would share it with you.  I hope you will take an extra moment to think about how you are spending your time each day.  I know I am.

It seems like anytime I want to change a behavior to help make it stick, I like to give it a theme, hashtag or acronym.  So, to help me remember to be more intentional with my time, everyday, I created this acronym: T. I. M. E or “Today’s Intentional Moment Example.”  My goal is to have at least ONE example at the end of the day where I was truly intentional with my time.  Yes, I am starting with one, but hope to add more as I continue this practice.  These don’t have to be big chunks of time, just intentional moments during the day and week.  My goal is to do this in different ways with the important people in my life.

I want to have a daily intentional and complete conversation with my husband. This may sound crazy, but we are both so busy, I’m sad to say that some days this doesn’t happen.
I want to be intentional with our girls and our conversation, activities and time.
I want to be intentional with my friends/extended family and make time to reach out and check on them. Maybe even have a Coke date or coffee date just to catch up.

I hope you find this blog helpful and encouraging.  We can’t slow down time, but we can make sure to have everyday an example of “Today’s Intentional Moment Example!”  I would love to hear from you with ideas on how you plan to be more intentional with your time! I hope you will email or send me a message on our social media!
