Happy Math & Music Monday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Ours was so fun but went very fast. I am so excited for Spring to be so close. I just love to be outside! With Spring coming that can only mean one thing… Spring Break! Are you ready? Do you have a plan? It’s coming, so we better get ready!
“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!” – Benjamin Franklin
I love this quote. It’s the perfect quote for this week’s blog. I used to joke with friends when the girls were younger that the only time we had behavior issues with them was when they were tired, hungry or bored. Well, I know what to do when they are tired and hungry… but when they are getting bored … That’s when I MUST have a plan! Lol I realize, I might sound a little dramatic, but if you have ever had two little girls looking at you… or even getting ready to throw a fit… you know you need to have a plan/activity ready… OR at least a plan and a way to redirect their energy! So, now is the time, friend! Spring Break for us is next week, so this means that this week I’m in full planning mode. I hope you’ll follow along on our Facebook and Instagram pages because I have some exciting things planned. But first, in this blog, I’m going to give you my top 3 tips for a successful Spring Break!
Spring Break Success Tip: #1 – Pick A Theme!
That’s right, pick a theme! This can be daily theme or even a theme for the whole week. I love this idea because it changes the whole perspective on your world around you. Some theme ideas: a different culture, a movie, a different country, the sky is the limit! Then plan your activities around the theme you pick. We’re going to pick a theme, then plan a family activity/project, with food or a meal, a craft and a related movie or short video to watch.
Spring Break Success Tip: #2 – Plan an Outing!
Ok, so towards the end of the week, our girls (I know) will get a little tired of being home all week. Knowing this, we’ll plan a fun family outing. I always save this for the end or towards the end of the week. This doesn’t have to cost money! It could be going to a park or the library. The idea is to just get out of the house.
Spring Break Success Tip: #3 – Pick a Family Project!
Ok, so this might not be for everyone, but we LOVE to do family projects together. It could be playing a game, remodeling/building something, doing a family puzzle, cooking, or even cleaning out a closet. We LOVE a good family project. They don’t have to be super complicated, there is just something rewarding for our family when doing a project together. So, I encourage you to try one if you haven’t before. We would love to hear about it. Be sure to send me a message!
Well, that’s it! Those are my top 3 tips for a successful Spring Break! I hope you find them helpful! Next week’s blog will have a fun Math and Music Theme, Spring Break Style, you won’t want to miss! So be sure to come back!
