Happy Math and Music Monday!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We finally had some sunshine. It was a little windy, but I’ll take it. This week is a big week because our babies, our precious babies, turn SEVEN! (Excuse me while I cry in the corner). Obviously, I am very grateful that we have happy, healthy children… but I still can’t believe they are turning SEVEN. For my birthday, the girls planned a special blog, and for their Daddy’s birthday they planned some special activities, but for their birthday they wanted to do a TOTAL BLOG TAKE OVER! Lol They watch me and help me with the blog every week. It has been so fun to do it together, but now they want to start their own blog… So they are taking over this week! So without further ado, please welcome Sister P and Sister K’s Birthday Blog Take OVER!
“No amount of money or success can take the place of time spent with your family.” – unknown
Sister P and Sister K picked this quote because, “money is just money – it’s not something that’s important,” said Sister P. “I love my family because it’s what matters the most,” said Sister K.
Sister K here. For the first activity we wanted to watch some of our favorite Math and Music videos, so I picked the Inchworm Video because I like to race and run. I also like how he uses beats to measure the distance that he travels.
Sister P here. For my favorite video, I picked my favorite, “The Kangaroo!” because it has lots of movements, and I get to bounce to the steady beat like a kangaroo!
Sister K again. For our second activity we wanted to do our other favorite activity a sequential order scavenger hunt!
Sister P again. We like these because Ally Dog taught us that order is VERY important!
(Mommy note – our girls LOVE these. The activities really don’t take long to do, and they love following the clues and finding the prize. This time, for their birthday we made the final prize one of their birthday presents, but normally we would make it something small or even a candy. It doesn’t have to be a big prize, they just love following the clues.)
Final thoughts from the girls: Sister P, “It’s fun to have a birthday – but family time is most important.” Sister K, “Presents are not more important than friends and family.”
Mommy’s final thoughts: Wow! This blog has taught me so much. Our children are always watching and learning from us. I have to say that I am so proud of our girls for this blog and their words. Everyday is not like this… so I am going to treasure the days that are! We hope you have a wonderful Math and Music week!
Thanks for stopping by!
