Happy Math and Music Monday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s day! My Mother’s Day was fun and spent with the people I love. Since we are talking about Moms I thought I would make this blog all about Moms and share my 3 favorite Mom Hacks right now!
“Always remember: You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – Winnie the Pooh
I think this quote is so important for Moms to hear and remember. Being a parent has pushed me more than I thought I could be pushed and blessed me more than I thought I could be blessed. It’s not easy, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Ok, let’s talk about my 3 favorite Mom Hacks.
1.) My first favorite Mom Hack is for the dreaded checkout line. I actually got this idea from one of my mom friends! Thank you, Andee! This is genius! So, I’m sure we’ve all been in the checkout line at the store with all the candy and toys down there at kid eye level. If your children are like mine, they always want to “at least look” which turns into “Can I get this, Mom?” So here is one of the BEST Mom Hacks that will cause you to never have to say no again. When you get to that spot in the checkout line and your children ask, tell them you are thinking of a number in your head from 1 to 50. If they guess the number you are thinking in your head, they can get something, if not then they don’t. This is BRILLIANT!! Sometimes they pick the correct number and sometimes they don’t, but it makes it feel like they have a chance and it’s not a hard NO!
2.) My second favorite Mom Hack is not really educational, but it’s one of my VERY favorite things! If you know me, you know that I LOVE mascara! Lol I realize this isn’t really educational and might seem silly to some, but I truly LOVE this one specific mascara. So I thought I would share this tip with you given that this blog is all about Moms! My favorite mascara is not super expensive, and I get it at Walgreens (because you can get it on sale). It’s called Voluminous Super Star by L’Oreal. What I love about this mascara and why I think it works the best is because it has the 2-step process. You first put on a white “base” coat. Then put on the black… and I put on a LOT of black. Lol So the next time you’re in the market for some mascara or want to give a gift to your Mom, I hope you’ll check this one out.
3.) My third favorite Mom Hack is… “Make it a Game!” I’m sure you have heard this before, but I think it’s a good one to remember. Whenever I’m trying to get the girls to clean their room, put their clothes away, or help me with laundry, I’ve found if we “Make it a Game” it makes it a lot more fun and we ALL enjoy it so much more. Plus, I don’t have to ask them to get it done 4 million times. Lol I know it sounds so simple, but it really does work. Check out the photos below with some fun examples.
I hope you find these “Mom Hacks” helpful and they make your life a little easier! As always, I would LOVE for you to share some of your favorite “Mom Hacks!”
