Happy Math & Music Monday!
I hope everyone’s Monday is off to a great start! Did you know that today is “National Visit Your Relatives Day.” In doing research for this week’s blog… I learned that this is a real thing. You are encouraged to visit people on this day whom you haven’t seen in a while… and at this point that’s a lot of people for us. Lol I don’t know about you, but we are really starting to miss our family (both related and not related). So, we decided to do something about it! This week’s blog is about one fun way to stay connected with “Connecting Cards!”
“Stay connected. The world is full of nice people. If you can’t find one. Be One!” – Thomas Games
I love this quote! It’s perfect for this week’s blog. Because of everything that’s been going on in the world lately, when I hear “stay connected,” I automatically think of Zoom or FaceTime. Both are great, and we use them a lot… but sometimes it’s fun to do it a little old school. I thought it would be fun to send to some of our family and friends a special “Connecting Card” (kinda like a Christmas card or encouraging note). I mean… who doesn’t LOVE to get something in the mail? I know I do! Plus, it’s a great way for the girls to practice their hand writing. It’s a win win!
So here’s what we did. Just like ordering Christmas cards, I ordered these super cute cards. (See photo below) I love that they say “Hugs, Hugs Hugs” on them. We will then write an encouraging note on them and put them in the mail. This way we can “Stay Connected” and let our friends and family know we are thinking and praying for them! Oh, and we’ll get to introduce our new furry baby… Molly!
I know this is a crazy time… but if we stay connected and stick together, we will make it through! How are you “Staying Connected?” Let us know! We would love to hear your great ideas!
